On Monday, 17/12/2018, Asharqia Chamber organized meeting at the Chamber branch in Qatif, which was chaired by the President of the Council, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, and the membership of both Vice-Chairmen Hamad Al-Boali and Badr Al-Rizaa, as well as each of the members Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Badr Al-Abdul Karim, Saadoun Al-Khalidi and Hamad Al-Hamad, in addition to the Chairman of the Chamber of Business Council in Qatif, Abdulmohsen Al-Faraj.
His Excellency the Governor of Qatif Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sufian praised the role played by Asharqia Chamber in the service of the national economy, and the development of the performance of the private sector, specifically in the province of Qatif.
He called for the establishment of new projects to monitor the strengths in each province of the eastern region.
He pointed out that Qatif province, like other governorates of the Kingdom, is very carefully cared for by the governors.
He said that the initiatives should come from businessmen, who have a great responsibility to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Kingdom in various fields, or those that are sponsored and supported materially and technically.
The final result of all this is for the benefit of the governorate, and for the benefit of the residents of the province citizens and residents.
His Excellency welcomed all the investment proposals that give added value to the province.
He pointed out that some activities have a comparative advantage in the province such as investment in agricultural areas, as there are in the province varieties of products and crops that are somewhat different from others in other provinces.
The population growth witnessed by the province seems to be a catalyst for further bidding and projects by investors.
New projects were waiting for the province, which will be announced in a timely manner by the concerned parties, as well as the appropriations of expropriation and conversion from buildings to fall into vital projects that benefit the residents, e.g., the project of central Awamiyah.
For his part, the President of the Council Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Khalidi said that Asharqia Chamber did not spare any effort to provide all that would develop the province and continues in this way with all businessmen.
He sent his sincere thanks and appreciation to the support of officials in the Kingdom for the Chamber's projects, especially to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region.
Al Khalidi stressed that the Chamber seeks to monitor opportunities and work with businessmen to turn them into value-added projects, as this will contribute in supporting local product and providing jobs for Saudi youth.
